Big Dreams, No Hope, Little Faith

Many people in South Africa have big dreams and as a child plan on becoming something you and your parents can be proud of, but only a few have the hope and faith to fulfill their dreams. As a teenager in South Africa you are taught you can be anything you set out to be and no matter your circumstance, if you want to achieve something you can. But it all comes down to who will put in the effort to strive for the best and who will just settle for what their circumstance provides for them.

I live in Cape Town and everyday is a day you have to make a choice. Whether it be to start smoking with your friends or deciding what you are going to strive to become one day. Everyday we are faced with drugs, poverty and desperation in our country and it is a struggle to keep your head above the filthy water and not get pulled into all the bad things, but it is not impossible we just need to keep floating.

South Africa is a beautiful country, which I love, but sometimes we are portrayed in a bad light. Nobody really takes the time to show the world the true beauty of our nation and thats what I am going to do.

Until Next Time
